Press Release Policy

Breathe reviews all submitted press releases and publishes only relevant news aligned with our editorial focus: the people, places, companies, rituals, investments, and openings shaping active culture. This policy explains what we consider, what we usually reject, and how our review process works.

Breathe is curated. Submission does not guarantee publication.

01

What belongs in Breathe Press Releases.

Breathe publishes selected press releases from companies, founders, operators, venues, clubs, hotels, agencies, investors, and cultural projects working across sport, wellness, hospitality, food, music, travel, private membership, and active culture. The best releases help readers understand where culture, capital, places, and behavior are moving.

02

Submission does not guarantee publication.

Every press release is reviewed by the Breathe team. We may accept, decline, edit, hold, request more information, or use it as source material for a future story, Bfree, city page, or partnership conversation.

03

Topics we consider.

Sport, padel, tennis, surf, running, active clubs, bathhouses, recovery, longevity, hotels, private members clubs, destination properties, food, chefs, music, listening rooms, funding rounds, partnerships, openings, expansions, appointments, and research with cultural or capital relevance.

04

What usually does not fit.

Generic ecommerce product launches, unsupported medical or health claims, obvious advertorial copy, local listings with no broader relevance, luxury announcements with no behavioral angle, SEO filler, spam, misleading claims, unclear rights, or unsafe and deceptive activity.

05

Submission format.

Press releases should be clear, factual, and written in objective third person. Include a clear headline, organization name, announcement date, city or market, 300-1,200 words, source links, boilerplate, press contact, and rights-cleared images or logos when supplied.

06

Press release publication is not editorial coverage.

A published release is not the same as a Journal story, endorsement, review, partnership, sponsorship, Residency invitation, membership recommendation, social distribution, search placement, or any specific traffic or commercial outcome.

07

Be careful with claims.

Breathe covers wellness, recovery, longevity, performance, and active culture, but does not publish unsupported medical, clinical, therapeutic, or health-outcome claims. We may edit, qualify, or reject exaggerated transformation language or risky medical positioning.

08

Only submit assets you have the right to share.

If you submit logos, founder photos, renderings, product images, venue images, event images, video, or other media, you confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for Breathe to review and potentially publish them.

09

Corrections, updates, removals, and timing.

If a release contains a factual error, contact us with the correction and supporting context. Timing, placement, newsletter inclusion, homepage placement, and social distribution are not guaranteed.

10

Paid placement is not currently open.

Breathe may introduce paid or premium press release placement in the future. For now, submissions are reviewed for editorial relevance and published selectively at Breathe’s discretion.
